Fortum Värme have today signed a new agreement for Open District Heating with Norrmalms Stadsdelsnämnd for Vasaparken ice rink. The new agreement is a so-called Open Spot contract and makes Vasaparken ice rink another supplier to Open District Heating.
The ice cooling machine in Vasaparken calculated during a winter season to generate approximately 700 MWh, corresponding district heating to a few hundred apartments. In addition to the recovery of excess heat is good for the environment, the agreement is profitable for both parties.
